Happy New year friends! Wow, it’s been two months since my last post. I’ll be honest with you all, I let the Alive and Free program slip to the sideline with all the holidays and schoolwork. The good news is I did finish video 3 and 4 and I am 5 now; I just need to finish the “homework” for week three! Pray for me, I have the answers to the questions, just having a hard time writing it all down and turning thoughts into words.

I hope everyone had incredible times this holiday season with their family and friends. Mine were all actually really amazing, I can definitely feel a shift during this whole year leading up to the holidays. I’ll be doing a post about this next month, I feel like God has something great planned for my healing and forgiveness journey.

I cannot believe that it is already 2020! Wow, I know that this is going to be such a great year. I declare so much victory and breakthrough over each one of you! I personally hate normal resolutions they put too much pressure on me if I don’t have the time or just life happens. So I like to make some realistic intentions that are achievable. This year I had this CRAZY idea that I want to write out 365 things I want to accomplish in 2020. Yes, I know what you are thinking, that in itself is super unrealistic but just hear me out okay…

Okay, that was completely unrealistic, I tried but 365 is a bit crazy for one year, so I have 53 (representing the weeks in 2020) realistic intentions and 5 extra crazy goals. I am really excited for this year and to share my intentions with you. At the end of 2020, I will be looking back to see what I have accomplished. I don’t completely expect all of these to be done entirely, if I do, great but if I don’t, thats okay too. I hopefully at least work on all of them in some way. The intentions are not unrealistic, all 53 can be achieved. To help keep me accountable, I will hang this list in my room on my tack board as a reminder

So drum roll please….my 53 intentions I hope to achieve by the end of 2020, in no particular order:

Self care:

1. I would like to finish my container of Himalayan bath salt (26 oz jar, approx 25 rocks of salt in there).

2. I recently moved away from bath and body and have been more vigilant on reading labels and ingredients, so I would like to find more natural lotions and skin care, and develop a better daily routine

3. After allergy testing (on the 14th),if all goes well, find a new multivitamin to take everyday, if not take my current Flintstones every day, along with a different probiotic.

4. I’ve always wanted to try a salt cave

5. I would love to have a better handle on my consumption of sugar.

6. I would like to stop biting nails, to do this, I will have to continue putting nasty tasting nail liquid on and have short fake nails, and be extra aware.

7. I want to be on track with the connected life podcast, I’m behind quite a few episodes but thankfully they come on once a week.

8. Learn to like a new fruit (no bananas, already like apples and oranges/clementines). It took me years to finally eat apples and tangerines without having to tell myself that I’ll like them, I think strawberries will be easiest since I already kinda like them

Organizational/Life skills:

9. Stop hoarding so much junk and actually give to people in need, clean out my room each month, keep it organized

10. Sell, donate, trash the items in the basement

11. Get caught up with my nieces scrapbooks that I gave them, thankfully it’s only 2 pages for each year of their life

12. Better manage my time, get to work on time, leave on time to get somewhere

13. Throw away my old socks and take tags off of new ones (over half my socks either have tags on them, only worn a couple times, or I’ve had for approx three years with tags still on them, the other half are ones I wear everyday and are old and worn)

14. Better budget my money, this should be fairly easy since I don’t spend a whole lot of unnecessary money and since I won’t be working a lot so not too much to budget

15. I want to finish the design of this blog site, I still need to upload a picture, finish the color scheme, and add some personalized touches to the site

Give back:

16. I made purses and bags of hygiene products that I would like to give out to those in need (at least 5)

17. Give 10-15 platelet donations (hopefully more, unfortunately iron is low so haven’t been able to yet, fingers crossed flintstones and kix cereal has boasted it up some)

18. Volunteer at five different organizations for even just a day

19. Visit Walter reed hospital

20. Work on a “project” I’m making for someone (it’s a surprise)

Adventure:

21. Every day in January, I want to do one fun/adventure/play activity

22. I finally want to actually go to a Football game (my dad has tried for years, now we can dad!)

23. Do a treetop rope course (possibly the haunted one?)

24. Take a pic in front of the “Buffalo, An all America city” sign on the thruway

25. Go to a llama/alpaca farm

26. Allow myself time to bring out my inner kid and laugh and have fun without thinking who is judging me

27. Try out goat yoga

28. Past few years, I’ve had this crazy idea that I want to get on a train, travel to a random city and state and spend the weekend there, no plans, just see what happens

29. Watch all the classic disney movies

30. Watch the Bills win a playoff game, and dare I say: make it into the Super Bowl

31. Dance in public more

32. Stay in an AirBNB

33. Find the perfect pancake, I rate pancakes on how good they are and I haven’t found one that is just the best pancake ever

Personal growth

34. Finish Alive and Free (I have all the content until June)

35. I want to meet up with at least one person each month that I don’t really know and just grab coffee and get to know them better

36. At least begin The Father Series workbook by Abi Stumvoll

37. Write in my “Letters to me” book, letters to future me, letters to past me

Personal growth and growing deeper in relationship with God

38. See elevation worship on their tour (In May/June), this is all depending on school schedule but hopefully

39. Go to elevation church in North Carolina, this would be a nice weekend trip.

40. Really learn about the women of the Bible through my two devotionals: Women of the Bible and Fierce

41. Go to two conferences that I’ve never been to, as well as the Cleveland, Canada, and Rochester ones

42. I’m going to speak up more, join in on conversations

43. This year, I really want to devote some time to learning about myself, what do I actually like to do? I feel like a lot of times in life, growing up, I did what everyone else did (kinda, I was also pretty weird and…unique) so I want to try out different adventures, different experiences.

44. To help with number 47, I want to try to once or twice a month, take myself out on a date, trying something different that I didn’t like before

Educational/brain stimulating

45. Visit at least three- seven different different churches, temples, other religious services to learn a bit about how different religions worship

46. I want to read at least 7 books (not including textbooks/schoolbooks) I normally can read more but with school and work, it can be hard to find time.

47. Learn at least the alphabet, numbers and 100 words in ASL, I know a handful now

48. Learn the basics of Italian, more then just eat, hello, goodbye, and 1-10

49. Understand football better

Physical:

50. Run a 5k (a fun one, already did a bounce one, bubble run, and color run) maybe the muddy dash?

51. Continue with my Krav Maga training, especially get more experienced with being screamed at while attacked and up the aggressiveness of the training (slight update: I asked my trainer to up the attacks on me and he definitely delivered!)

52. The marine booth at the Erie country fair has prizes for each gender who can do certain number of pull ups, I don’t expect myself to beat any records but at least do 3, I would even be happy with 1, but realistic goal is 3.

53. The army booth has prizes depending on how many push ups each gender can do at the Eric county fair, last year I did 20 (they weren’t perfect form but i would say okay) I want to beat that record

And the five crazy goals that 99% sure won’t happen this year but who knows

1. Get another tattoo

2. Get on an airplane and go random place

3. Go to NYC with my mom

4. Go to Europe

5. Get married, have a kid, and buy a house ( definitely NOT happening in 2020! But a girl can dream right?)
